As we draw nearer and nearer to the possibility of being elected as the 2023-2024 American Legion Auxiliary National President, I am astonished at the number of Legion Family members that support me, and to what extent.

Obviously, the members of Spenard Post 28 are ‘in it to win it’ this year as they have graciously offered to host the 2022 Raffle Calendar.  I would be remiss if I didn’t say the same for members of C. Russell Huber Squadron 57 for doing the same thing in 2020.  Of course, a huge debt of gratitude goes to those ‘movers and shakers’ that were hitting the pavement in selling the calendars both years.  And I cannot forget to say THANK YOU to those that purchased raffle calendars in both 2020 and 2022!  You will never know the depth of my gratitude!  ALL!

Many Posts, Units, Squadrons and Chapters as well as individual members have made direct donations to Team Alaska’s coffers to help the campaign as well!  And again, THANK YOU!  The Legion Family is simply the best, and I am proud to be a part of it!

A reception at the Department Leadership National Conference in Indianapolis in May is being planned – please, COVID don’t rear your ugly head…..again! – and the Homecoming Committee has been hard at work, touring hotels and venues for meals even signing a contract or two.  Details to follow…………..

I would like to take this moment to wish each of you the very best this holiday season!  I hope you can find a moment to relax during the craziness and remember why we celebrate!  Of course, I look forward to the new year as we plan events leading up to my hopeful election in 2023 in Charlotte.  I hope to do you all proud, and keep the Mission of our organization in the forefront of my mind throughout!  #MissionDriven
