Woo hoo! It’s finally time! Time to come together for one huge week-long celebration of fun and fellowship as an American Legion Family. Of course, we will conduct all official business, but after 24 months during a pandemic, it’ll be so nice to enjoy each other’s friendship and celebrate our 100 years of service.
Many Legion Family members have begun the trek to Phoenix – some on motorcycle as they travel through some beautiful scenery and the whole gamut of weather from Arkansas to end up in Fountain Hills, Arizona, all the while raising money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund. Last I heard, they were over $614,000 raise of their $1 million goal. Others have started driving from Washington, Texas, Florida and New Jersey, and all points between. And those of us a bit farther away will begin the long flights to Arizona – some today and some throughout the week!
We will Celebrate a Century of Service and Focus on the Future. I hope to see many of you there!
