The American Legion Family National Convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during August 26 – September 1, 2022.  It is our largest gathering of members, guests, and distinguished speakers. The weeklong event is held annually in cities across America at the same time and place as the convention of The American Legion for the purpose of electing officers, receiving reports, conducting other ALA business — and most of all — having fun while celebrating our accomplishments from the administrative year.

And this year is extra special as one of our own – Lisa Williamson – will be elected and installed as the 2022-2023 American Legion Auxiliary National Vice President, a first for Alaska.  The ALA Installation of Officers is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 2-3:30pm, subject to slight time changes.

“I hope that all Alaskans in attendance, as well as Legion Family members throughout the county, would celebrate by attending the ALA’s National Installation of Officers,” stated Williamson.  “I am thrilled to have this opportunity, and hope to do you all proud.  It’s my pledge to each of you that I will serve with grace, compassion, commitment to the Mission, and of course, a smile.”

She continues, “If you’re not able to attend the convention in Milwaukee, be sure to livestream it, at https://livestream.com/americanlegionauxiliary “
