Plans are in the works…….

A lot of things are happening behind the scenes for Team Alaska:

The 2022 Raffle Calendar is in its last month of sales.  I don’t think there are a whole lot out there to purchase, but if you’re interested, NOW would be the time to purchase one (or more).  You can contact Mike Hayward at Spenard Post 28, or me, and we will see that you have the chance to get your very own.  They do make awesome Christmas gifts too!

I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Spenard Post 28 for running this fundraiser this time around — MUCH THANKS to the Post, especially their Post Commander, Mike Hayward!  Your continued support is very much appreciated, and adds to the feelings of honor and humility I have for being backed by the entire Alaska Legion Family!

Team Alaska will be having a Zoom call on December 1st to report on calendar sales, as well as provide updates on receptions at National events and Homecoming 2023 plans in Fairbanks.

In a nutshell, we will be reporting that the Washington DC Conference will not be in person in March 2022, so we will not be hosting a reception there.  It is our hope to host one during the Department Leadership National Conference in Indianapolis in May 2022 though.

And the Homecoming Committee has been working hard, crunching numbers and are 95% certain that they have a venue selected for the hotel and banquet.  Some things are being finalized, and we hope to have a contract to review before Thanksgiving.  More on this later.
